ABOUT THIS PROJECT

PROJECT VISION AND GOAL

Why the IELD Museum Project Exists

Italian everyday objects — the iconic ones and the simple ones we all grew up with — are disappearing. With them, we risk losing gestures, habits, and stories that shaped the way we lived.

IELD Museum was created to stop this loss.
A digital museum that collects, preserves, and makes accessible 3D explorations of the objects that built our shared cultural memory.

We’re doing it now, before these traces fade.
Every object, whether famous or forgotten, becomes part of a living archive designed to keep these stories speaking, understood, and passed on.

THE DIGITAL MUSEUM

The First Digital Museum Dedicated to Italian Everyday Life

IELD Museum is a simple, clean, accessible space.
A place where you can rediscover the objects that lived in our kitchens, our pockets, our summers, our homes.

They’re not here because they’re rare or precious — but because they shaped our daily lives.

Through carefully crafted 3D reconstructions and short contextual stories, the museum lets you look closely, remember, and find your own connection to each object.

The project will grow in two phases:

  • Phase 1 — Web Museum: a simple platform where you can explore all 3D models.

  • Phase 2 — Immersive Experience: a navigable 3D environment where you can walk through collections at your own pace.

And most importantly: it will always remain free and open to everyone.

SOCIAL AND
CULTURAL IMPACT

Why These Objects Still Matter

Every object carries a fragment of life: a habit, a gesture, a shared memory.
Bringing them together in one digital space means giving people a way to reconnect with a part of themselves.

IELD Museum becomes a bridge between generations, regions, and personal stories.
A place where everyday culture — the kind that rarely enters traditional museums — finally finds a home.

The project will grow over time through:

  • new collections

  • community contributions

  • collaborations with schools, archives, and local institutions

  • tools for education, research, and cultural accessibility

A quiet but meaningful impact: strengthening memory, connection, and awareness of what has shaped us.

PEOPLE & PRESS

The Person Behind the Project

GIUSEPPE CENNAMO

After twelve years between Ireland, England, and Florida working in art and communication, I chose to return to Italy.
I came back for what I had forgotten to miss: the slower rhythms, the everyday gestures, the simple objects that tell more than they seem.

IELD Museum was born from this return.
From a personal need that becomes a collective project: preserving what defines us, before it disappears.

I collect moments, not objects.
